Default Need some assistance,

I have a 4-channel 520-Watt amp, and 2 250-watt subs. Do I have to bridge the channels to get the 250+ watts to each sub, or will it automatically give all the juice to whichever ones I wire 'em into?

You will have to bridge channel 1 and 2 to one sub, and channels 3 and 4 to the other.

amps are not very smart like that. Thier circuits are stamped to perform a certian way and they really cannot adapt.

Yeah, that's what I thought.

I have a dual-voice coil... so, do I run a set from Channel 1 to Coil 1, then Channel 2 to Coil 2, and same with the second sub?

[When I say Dual-voice coil, I mean I have 2 sets of positives/negatives, I dunno if that's what the dual voice coil is or not... but that's what I'ma call it]

That depends on the VC resitance of you subs. Are they DVC 2 or 4ohm subs.

If each coil is 2 ohm, you will need to wire the coils on each sub in series to get a 4 ohm load for each sub and then wire it as described above.
That should work great with your amp as long as it is bridgeable.

Alright, I didn't really get that. Does the amp have a certain setting/wiring config to get a 2ohm load for each set of wires?

I have to hit up the manuals, I guess.
