I just have to vent
Last week I bought a Kenwood DNX1700 online at Sonic Electronix. I ordered it late Wednesday night so they didn't really get the order until Thursday. Later that day I recieved an e-mail saying I needed to fax in a signature form for my credit card because the purchase was over $1000.00. Ok, so it's a pain but I can understand that. It kind of protects me in the long run. Well I called them to see if the fax went through all right. Well it cut off my signature so I had to resend it again. The guy I talked to the second time said it would probably not ship until Friday. Well ok, thats not too bad.
Well as of yesterday the order has yet to be shipped. Despite being told that it would be. So I called them up again and finally found out that the Kenwood is BACKORDERED and they don't know when they will be getting it in. And as of today they still don't show that the radio isn't backordered. It still says that it will usually ship in 1-2 days. I have no idea why the don't show it as backordered or lied to me when they said it would ship out on Friday. Probably due to bad customer service. I don't know why I expect any good customer service anymore. That seems to be a thing of the past.
This was the first time I bought from Sonic Electronix and it will be last time that I buy from them as well.
Oh yeah, those scumbags were more than happy to take my money as soon as they could possibly get their grubby little paws on it. Still never telling me that it was backordered. [:@]

Actually, the order was supposed to come with Monster Wire, and I didn't see it, I called 'em up and they were just about to send me another one before I realized it was still hidden in the packaging peanuts :x But, their customer service is awesome.
For future refernce use this website http://www.resellerratings.com/store/SonicElectronix . It is very helpful when buying from an unfamillar online dealer. Use this especially when the price seems much lower than more reputable dealers. I know this is a little late as you have already placed your order but you may still have time to contact them and cancel the order and if they refuse just contact your bank/credit card company and cancel it that way. If they haven't charged you yet just call the company directly and cancel the order.
