because i recently bought an infinity amp but was told its a wierd combination so i was thinking abot returning it and buying a new one that fits my subs better. pleaaase help. thank you

 

my honest and first opinion is stop getting your car audio and audio advise from best buy. You would be better off at a radio shack I think.

First, I'd agree with ttocs.

F*&@ X-PLODES! They sound like a JDM engine with a $20 dollar after-market exhaust.
To be honest, I'd rather have the JDM, 'cause at least you can drown it out with a GOOD system, like some JBL or JLs or something.
As my friend so easily said it: "Sony is tryin' to school with the big boys, little do they know they're gettin' F's."

Secondly, the amp / sub can be different brands, no problem. There's not "weird combination." It's just the honest truth. It's not like they have internal computers on either one of them, one provides power, one takes the power and moves at a rapid pase interrupting the air and making sound waves.
Simple.

I'm not sure about the quality of Infinity Amps, but try to find it online at an online store and post a picture.

And if you MUST get X-plodes, just know they sound horrible but they're loud. So if you're the kinda person that wants to shake your whole car apart, then get those. If you want to sound good, you should read up on some more posts, or just ask. I'm not gunna say that I know a lot about systems, but a lot of people who go on here do like PRreal and Seight311 and such. Ask and they will help, I'm sure.

 

well just so you know.. its not 99.99 for me
my severe discounts seems to work nicely for me and i have actually listened to these subs
and they sounded nice to me so my PERSONAL prefrence about these subs is that i like them. ALL im asking is for an amp that you would suggest.
