Default Mid bass speakers in front sub openings?

I'm finally getting rid of the shaker 500 system in my '07 mustang. I've ordered some Boston Acoustics SL60 component speakers for the doors. I've also got a subwoofer and amp coming for the trunk and won't be using the front door subs anymore. Has anyone out there ever mounted their mid bass speakers in the shaker 500 subwoofer opening? I would have to fabricate some kind of adapter plate and something to hold the speaker grill on. There's a pretty good sized enclosure inside the doors. Any opinions on what this would sound like?
