I got a bulk pack of dynamat(33sq ft) extreem. I put a good layer down on the wheel well in preperation for the amp rack as well as inside and out of the doors. By adding mat to the inside of the door skin in general you will add wieght and lower the resonance freq. By using the mat to help hold the skin the interior bracing inside of the door(be carefull to stay away from moving window parts) I was able to help it a little bit more. By putting a solid layer across the inside of the door(behind the plastic panel) it made it harder to put the plastic back on. This is a good thing as I do not have any more rattles from the plastic and the noise from the outside is noticably quieter. I also made baffles to mount 6.5s in the 6 x 8 hole. I made these a while back with some tupperware enclosures and then stiffened them up with some mat. If you have access to a router or jigsaw and want to know how to build these I cover the how-to on my rangers page, let me know if you are interested in it....
Work on the amp rack will be delayed a bit as I go to surgery friday to remove a part of my intestine that is bad. Good news is that I am now off work for a few more weeks(with good insurance thankfully!) and I hope to do some work on it as part of my recovery when I start to feel better.
