Guys I have an alpine iva-w200, in my car and I am planning to hook up a ps2 to it, I was looking at this power converter and wanted to know if this would work? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....ci_sku=7713904

I dont want to plug it in to the cigarrette lighter cuz thats ghetto, I actually want it hardwired to my car battery u know make it look clean. So will this work>? what else do I need? or if it doesnt can you show me what to get thanks.

well, that inverter is really expensive. My family has a solar battery system for their home power. We look for about 10 cents a watt.
ya, it's not that hard. You might want to get a bigger onebecause well, bigger is better and it won't strain the inverter as much.

A ps2 takes very little current and I beleive that run around 12V. You might want to check out the converter that came with the PS2 that switched from the wall outlet 120V AC to something DC. It should ahve the specs on the back of the converter. If it converts to 12.5 like I think it does, you may be able to splice directly into the power wire without the need to another aftermarket converter.
