Default License Plate Rattle

Alright, who has the best solution to stop the annoying rattle from the license plate during hard bass hits? I have a plate and plate frame which seem to make more noise then my system. Help!

Dynamat sells a license plate kit, you can find it at best buy for like 12 bucks I think, but it will definately solve your problem, I got it for my car and my plate doesnt rattle at all.. And I have 2 12' subs runnin off a 1000 watt amp.

For this application, I used a peice of cardboard behind the plate. No rattle.

For bigger applications, there is roofing stuff that works well. Iceguard for starters.

Chunks of styrofoam behind the plate will do fine. Just find a block of it and break off 2 pieces big enough to hold tension behind the plate.

Why thank you. It's nice cause it won't be affected by water or weather. If you're really slick, you can fasten the top screws tight, and put the bottom screws through the styrofoam and the plate, so they don't ever move.

One thing to watch out for

I bought a dyno-mat license plate kit, and I live in British Columbia, Cananda, well the stupid dynomat logo at the bottom of the frame covers the insurace expiry sticker, which is illeagle. You can put the cover on upside down, and look like and idiot, I just took a dremel and cut off the logo part, doesn't afftect the performance at all. Just something to keep in mind.

P.S. I bought the kit locally. when I told the store about the problem, they said "oh really" and that was the end of it.[&:]
