Mach 460 question???
Is the headunit out of a 2004 Cobra (CD-6....Mach 460) crossed over to only play highs?
(Trying to swap out stock for stock, this is my winter beater.......CD-6 was a freebie)
Tried to install in my Explorer, and had no bass. Used a Metra reverse harness 71-5520. Everything works, just no bass. My Explorer is a 1997, I used the 70-5600 amp intergrator plug and powered up the blue/white wire for factory amp to get output.
Thanks for any help,
Kevin

sounds like your not turning on your explorers amps. Check the voltage to see what you have on the remote output. Ford mach radio's like to use a 6v remote turn on where your explorer probably needs a 12v. If you have 6v on the remote wire try then try connecting the Red +12v switched to the remote turn on and the amps should turn on and off with the key.
The remote is hooked up to the red accesory wire. The fac. amp does come on. Just no bass at all with hte Mach (CD-6) headunit when installed. When I plug the original Ford stereo back in the Explorer everything works fine. Do you think there is a crossover built into the (cd-6) radio?
