Default Some help please with car audio

Basically I want to hook up a nice sounding system not overbearing" my ear drums are damaged loud " but crisp clear quality sound form my 06 mustang with the shaker 500.
What iam looking for is reccomendations not on brands but the ratings of the speakers/amps/subs i should be looking for.I found out I need 6x8 speakers and a 8 inch woofer in the door. Sorry about the lack of audio experience but iam looking to really learn.

rms is constant power, which is normally 1/2 of total wattage.
you should look for rms instead of peak watt.
seller will normally try to mis lead you by giving you the peak power.

Also, how much are you looking to spend? You definitely want to go by RMS but remember that the specs are merely guidelines to go by, not the end all be all. The easiest setup would be to use a 5 channel, but i like the idea of two separate amps, a 4 channel and a mono amp. Now, the real audio enthusiasts will tell you that you won't really need the rears if you properly do the front speakers. It makes total and complete sense when you think about it and how you listen to music. If you want some very good guidance, be a bit more specific on your questions and look for PReal, ttocs, Hissss and seight to chime in and lend a hand. They are by far the most audio enabled people on this forum that i know of, there may be others but they have helped me and many time and time again with excellent advice and knowledge.
