funny. On a show basis, I like a lot of their stuff, done right with the right interior it can look quite nice... But I have just never been happy with their sound...

 

im giving thewholesalehouse a ring tommorow, and then it will be a sure yes or no.

 

lanzar has not been much since the 90's. I would not be suprised...

 

What happened to the American made optidrives.....

It was a sad day when those amps stopped being produced.

THAT is the old and good lanzar. I would own their 15-20 yr old stuff before I would own anything with a warrenty from them. The same is true for phoenix gold. The older the better almost with them. Do a search for PG M series amps(M44, M100) and you will see some good stuff.........

The lanzar(as well as the old M series) are what we used to call cheater amps. They were rated at a low ohm rating at 4 ohms so that they could compete in a lower wattage class, but when you bridged them down to 1/2 an ohm and ran multiple speakers they put out buttloads of power. That lanzar was rated at 50watts but could put out more then 800...

 

They just don't build them like they used to...

The RE 35.1 also comes to mind.
