Needed: Remote turn-on wire tap & fuse diagram
have any of you wired up subs to your stock headunit yet? where have you run the remote turn-on ( blue wire) for subs? i havent been able to locate a wire that i can easily tap into to get switched(acessory) power. i lso have been able to located a fuse diagram to see what each fuse is. mylast stock headunit tapped vehicle i read the top of the fuse holder lid to find igniton acessory power fuse and tapped into there. ether way is fine for me.
-does anyone havea fuse diagram for a 2006 mustang gt? and location of all fuse acess points.
-any tap point for fuse or ignition/acessory/switched wire for subs?
HLEP IS NEEDED....ASAP!
Thanks!!!

I have done it probably hundreds of times but still cannot tell you what wire to use. There is +12v switched that is behind the radio or else a fusebox is great to look in. Even if I could tell you which wire to use you should still verify that wire with a voltmeter or a testlight if there is nothing better to use. EVERY single time I needed to find a wire I grab my meter, no tool box should be with out one..........
but what about a fuse? in my last vehicle i just locaed a fuse that said acessory or ignition...not sure. normal small double pin 15amp fuse. worked great!!!! any info would help though.
the fuse box would be fine also. AGAIN take your voltmeter or testlight and check a couple with the key off, then turn the key on and test again. IT would take less time then reading this, and then making a responce. The correct way to do something is not always the hard way.
Check my write up on installing subs into a 99-04 vert and apply it to yours. I ran the remote wire into the fuse box under the dash, and put it into the day lamps fuse since that only turns on when the car is on(duh). it was a 15A fuse in my car and worked fine. I don't know which slot it is specifically off the top of my head, but i don't think it would really be a hard thing to google. Good luck.

he is right. Go to an autoparts store and spend $10 to ensure that you get something that is only on with the key. Then be sure to put the light back in a spot where you can find it next time. It is amust have for any toolbox........
i know it has to be a wire that is only on when the car is on..i have done many systems in my time. i was just trying to find out waht wire you guys used. figuring at least 5 people on here would have responded of how they wired aftermarket subs to a stock head unit.
but i will have to pick up another volt meter i guess. which as ttocs stated, is a must.
