Stereo just Stops giving sound
Not sure what the problem is but my stereo just stops working as far as sound. The power is still on and everything it quits giving sound It will work when I first get into it and be fine then after about 5 minutes it just stops. Like I said the power is on and everything but no sound anyone else ever have this
u probably have a short somewhere. my last car i installed all new speakers and had to run new wires, well for some reason if i hit a hard bump and the rear driver side speaker moved it would short out all my sound. i could open my door and slam it while driving and it would knock whatever was wrong back into place and start playing again. pretty ghetto but i didnt know what was doing it. all the connections in the back i soldered and taped up very well, so i had no idea what would cause it to happen.
it is hard to tell you what is wrong since we do not know anything about the equipment, or the vehicle in question.
I will give you step by step directions to my house, starting from that road, the one with the lines in the middle, it has a stop sign at the end and it a 45 mph, you know the one? How long will it take to get to my house?
give a complete list of what is inthe car.

Yeah sorry about that. The car used to have a system and alarm in it but that was all removed before I bought it. When I bought it the back speakers were not hooked up so I pulled the head unity and hooked up the back speakers. The only thing after-market really is the head unit it is a pioneer super tuner. The rest is stock speakers and not the mach 460. I tend to think the problem is a short so I may have to pull the whole system an rewire everything.
When you hooked up the speakers, did you hook them up to the same outputs the other speakers were on? When the sound cuts off, is the deck hot? Sounds like it may be shutting down for a thermal problem.
When I hooked up the back speakers there were two speaker wires that were not in use so those are the ones I used they were for the back speakers. the deck is not hot I have not had time to pull it out yet and check everything it has not done it in a few days now.
