Default INSTALL DOUBLE DIN

I am getting this.. http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Pione...oductDetail.do

its 4" tall, but i have a 99 gt and i dont have a double din slot. So i was wondering if you guys knew if i could swap out the 2001 to 2004 dash that does have the double din, or if there is a place where i can get a custom one built for my car? thanks guys

the swap is as easy as you would hope it would be. hit a bone yard and you can probably score a dash for cheap.

OR I would be happy to show you how to mold it into your dash.

Do you really have to swap the entire dash? Cant you just swap the trim panels from like an 04 and maybe do some modifying?

exactly, the car is made to have it depending one what options package you get. The type he has is too small and would require him to cut the opening and mold it in. Yourdash(which simply bolts onto the same place his does) will easily fit a double din.

yep i have a 97 just get a 01+ trim and do some cutting of the section at the bottom of the section revilled and place it in. I had a custom bracket but a new bracket might work as well. id show you it but ive had to reinstall my old stuff considering my 6.5 excelon was stolen 1 month after install T_T
