I have a 1996 mustang cobra and I am looking to put all new subwoofers, amp, speakers, and head unit. any ideas??

depends on what you consider decent. have you had any systems before? Probably you can get a decent system in my opinion for around 6-800

 

any brand names you prefer for
subs?
amp?
head unit?
and speakers?

 

audibahn makes great equipment. subs, amps, caps, everything is purdy good.

 

Audobahn makes complete garbage. If they spent half as much on quality parts as on chrome they might make decent equipment.

For $800 you can get a great setup for the money, but it really all depends on what type of music you listen to.

Do you want all out loudness, sound quality of a mix of the two?

Brand names are hard becuase there are a lot of brands you haven't heard of that will blow most mainstream equipment off the map for the price.
