Default fox coupe plexiglass sound system

i have a 88 mustang lx coupe that i am fixing to put a sound system in. i have 2 audiobahn 10" subs and a 1800 watt kenwood amp that i am gonna put on a sheet of plexiglass and mount it vertically on the back edge of the trunk opening. has anyone ever tried something like this or has ever done any kind of sound system on any mustang with plexiglass? pictures would be great.

are you going to build a box for the speakers or just mount them to a single piece in an free air arrangment?

Free air and audiobahn is a recipe for the worst sounding bass ever!

If you want those subs to perform at all, place them in a large ported enclosure. If you really want free air, I'd look into selling the bahn's and getting something that is made for free air.

Actually, I'd try to sell someone the bahns regardless and buy a better woofer with what you get from them.

free air is no better way to make a couple of 10's or 12's sound like an underpowered 6 x 9. I also would recommend some kind of box.

My cousin bought an audiobahn. They looked pretty, but man did they suck. He had them mounted free air and then in a box and they just didn't sound good.

Audiobahns are not made to sound good, they are made to blind you with thier excessive chrome.

that's basically what I told my cousin. If only people cared more about the quality of sound rather than looks.
