I dont know what happened but when I turn on the radio it makes a buzzing sound and says"cd error". If I press load it says "all slots full", yet there are NO cds in the unit!! WTF?!?! Is there anyway I can fix this on my own or is it time for a new head unit? Let me know!!!!

 

Someone said to try this:

Pull the radio out and remove the screw on each side and the 2 on the back. Pop off the cover and you can see the CD's. The part of the CD changer may have not fully engaged the CD it wanted to play and it is stuck not knowing what to do. Press on the CD that so that the part that spins the CD is locked into the center of the CD. Leave the top open and plug in the CD player. It should start going through all of the cd's then if the CD error is gone it will play again.

I already tried this but I didnt press on the CD so im going to do this tomorrow. Let me know if any of you have tried this!

 

if you do a search on here you will find countless posts of indash changers jamming. Most people replace them since ford has never made a quality head unit but there are also a couple of people here that have posted repair info. I would not waste any more time on the thing then it takes to rip it out, and that is a 2 sec job. I know you like your indash changer, but sorry it is junk...
