Audiomobile Help!
So my uncle had this box that he had no more use for and gave it to me. He enjoys the finer things in life and doesn't mind spending $$$ so he can say his (whatever) his top of the line. Anyways, I have been trying to figure out just what I have exactly. He said he spent a little under $7000 foir everything and I doubt that he is lying to me. The company is called Audiomobile and from what I can find, it no longer exists but was deffinately a top of the line company. I guess the owner started spamming message boards and then sold the company or something like that.
The speakers need to be reconed and the box should probably be carpeted. It looks like only the speaker side was carpeted in the first place but whatever that is left is crumbling away.
What there is:
Box
Speakers
3 Amps
-SA 2000 Power Amp
-SA 1000 Power Amp
-sa 400 Power Amp
2 Crossovers
-CXE-2 Electronic Crossover
-CXE-2 Electronic Crossover
Wires

What is this worth or is there anyone that can verfiy the info that I have shared. I am looking to sell this rather than keep it. Thank you.

PS dont waste your time with the box. Pull out the woofers and amps and sell those. I wouldn't be surprised if you got a couple hundred from the amps and crossovers. Some of that old stuff is like gold.
unless they are collectors items I will have a hard time seeing them go on even ebay. Those things must be from the early 80's mang..... I have been installing for 15 yrs myself and in that time I like to think that I have seen and installed almost everything but these are new to me...
I see you posted a while ago and I don't know if you still have your Audiomobile Rack system but I know those pieces very well.
The company, Audiomobile, was started in Pennsylvania by a young engineer named Paul Stary What you have are among the earlier pieces that he marketed. Knowing them and their quality like I do it's no surprise to me that they've lasted this long. The pieces you have were in full production until around 1981.
Paul followed up that series with a low consumption class A design which was one of the first amplifiers capable of less than a 1 ohm speaker load on all channels. His designs were incredibly ahead if their time. Tempting though it may be to sell those amplifiers I would hold on to them and enjoy them, except for the poly-prop subs, of course (assuming you haven't already sold them). If, however, you have your heart set on selling them wait for a true audiophile and you'll get top dollar.
For a little more history, Paul eventually sold Audiomobile to K40 Electronics in Elgin, Illinois in the early 80's. Since K40 wasn't an audio industry company they were unprepared for the type of marketing necessary to move high end mobile audio equipment and eventually mothballed the company.
I know my Audiomobile history well because I was there at the end. In the latter years of the company I was one of the development engineers.

I'm sorry I can't hold it, history shmistery lol. 7k....for that.....in the late 70's-early 80's?? Someone got robbed. That would be like 14k now...At least.
I dunno man. I'd sell it all for what you can get. As far as re-coning the subs, why bother? The amps may be worth hanging onto if they work though.
