the installer in me loves jl. Put it in, tune and your done with it until you want to take it out....... People complain about JL being expensive, not for wearing out too fast.......

I burnt up the voice coils in a 12" W7 after a year of abuse.

Just enough time to not have warranty.

what do you guys think of the Boston Accoustics Pro 60 6.5' 2 way component speakers? + 12" G5124 sub?

 

I've always liked Boston products but i feel products like CDT, Diamond, Morel and Rainbow might be above them....

 

I like the Pro 60's more than the Z6's. The Z's have a sort of bite to the highs and the mid always seemed decent but nothing worth double compared to the Pro's. Pro's are excellent but unless you were getting a bomb deal on them, I would steer a different direction.

I would go with the DLS Iridiums, last I knew of Hisss had those, or was going to get them.

Aren't the S281's ready for a 3 way setup? If they are...
