52x4 and amp question :)
Hello, so once again, i sad stereo nub question.
I have a 1990 lx. I put new speakers and a deck in. The deck is a 4 way. I have 6 speakers.
I hooked the two front ones together,. the dashes are 75 watt infinities. The doors are 220 watt pioneers.
The backs are on there own power feed.
My question is, will the front right / lefts be fighting over the amperage that the stereo will be putting out? Will my front sound weak, and not abuse there real sound and be dominated by the back?
And my other question is, can i buy a small amp that will convert my 4 way to a properly distributed 6 way. Thanks

you can wire them up and SHOULD not have any problems unless you are really jammin on them for a long time. It is also generally accepted to be badpractice to wire them up in parallel(all the +'s and all the -'s together) since it will cause the deck to run hot BUT I have done it countless times over the years for customers as well as myself and not seen a problem.
If you wanted to add an amp you can add a small and simple 2 channel amp and run the remaining speakers from the deck. I would recommend hooking up the front door speakers as they are your main speakers and they will get a cleaner signal from a descent small amp........

I would recommend a capacitor inline to the 3.5s to take the bass out of them or you will probably blow them.

yes. A capacitor put inline on the + wire will act as a low-pass x-over. This will take most of the bass out of the small speaker and allow them to play the freq's they are meant to which is the mid to high range. Just disconnect or cut the + wire(although it will not matter if you do the -) and then put the cap in series. I am sure it had directions with it if it came with them.
