Default Dual Ohm Sub Question

Can anyone tell me what does a dual ohm sub mean. Is it the way that it is wired in the box, or does it share the RMS as one circuit.

one rule that people like to leave out about DVC(dual VOICE coil) subs is that you need to have both coils hooked up. It can be in either a series or parallel wiring but if you hook up only one coil, you will burn up that coil.....
