Default Ideas for a 2005gt audio system

Hello everyone. I have a 2005 gt mustang and I'm looking to upgrade audio system. I'm looking for quality
equipment. My budget is $2500.00. So I want to hear ideas. I want a system that hits hard. I either want 4 10's or 2 12s, what you think is better. I want to use the stock deck. Thanks.

Why do you want to use the stock deck? It just doesn't put out the goods like an aftermarket receiver.

I have got an 05 6, and I just put a slamming system in mine. It has excellent sound quality and it can rattle the windows of my neighbor's house. I have been meaning to post pics, but I have been so busy. I promise to post pics soon. Also, definitely change the head unit. That was the first thing I changed and even with the stock speakers it made a heck of a difference.

2 kicker 12" solobaric L7's with a 1200x2 Kicker 2xch amp. in a custom box would be very hard hitting. I have one 15" L7 and I set off car alarms from 35 feet away. plus they look sweet

I dont know much about the 1200x2 amp, but I know the L7 would absolutely blow you away and would be an excellent choice as long as you get enough mids and highs to blend in with the L7 subs.

2 12' L7's his car is gonna fall apart!!! I'd reccomend 2 10" L7's...or a 12" since their so powerful and so he can have some space for his trunk.... He prolly wants to keep the stock deck cuz some people dont like the look of the aftermarket decks cuz it leaves a big space and it doesnt look as clean.... But if your gonna get new speakers you'll need an aftermarket deck to really tell the difference. And if your gonna get an amp, get like a 1500 watt 4 channel amp to run the whole system, or a mono amp for the subs and a 2 channel for the components...

Cmon guys he's got a 2500$$ budget, I think you can do a lil better than L7's

I'd go with 2 12's if I were you, some to consider are:

Resonant Engineering - XXX
Image Dynamics - IDmax
Adire - brahma
Ascendant Audio - Avalanche
Soundsplinter - RL-P
Stereo Integrity - Magnum D2

Some good amp manufacturers: Kicker (as stated above), US Amps, Zapco, Elemental Designs, Orion

For nice head units (cd players) look at Pioneer, Alpine, Clarion, Nakamichi, Rockford

Of course with these I'm sure you're gonna want some nice sounding speakers, brands to look into are Alpine, Kicker SS, Rainbow, DLS, CDT, Boston Acoustics

Over at www.caraudio.com there are a lot of people that could help you out big time with this.
