Default Complete Replacement HELP!!!

I'm in the middle of replacing my entire Mach 460 System in my 2003 Mach 1. I have a JVC 7" Double Din Touchscreen DVD Player, 2 sets of Kicker Components for (front & rear), 2 10" Alpine Type-S Subwoofers and a 4-Channel and 2-Channel Panasonic Amps. I am completly dumping the Mach system. I am just cutting the speaker wires and using rcas to put out the signal. The only thing I'm doing with the factory harness is going to be using it for power, ant, etc. Does anyone one have any advice or input on this? If anyone has done something like this, please post up some tips, maybe pics. Thanks

hey man im about to do the exact same thing. for me its a little bit different because i have no wiring at all so i have to rewire my wiring harness as well but here's basically what im doing.
-remove the entire mach 460 system(ive already done this)
-im running 4AWG wire from the battery toa distribution block in thetrunk(from this i can split the power to both my amps)
-inline fuse within a few inches of the battery
-ground the amps
-run your RCAs and your remote lead wire from your HU to your amps
-run the speaker wire from your amps to your speakers and subs and mount them
-as i said above, im rewiring my HUharness, but you should just get the mach 460 harness from crutchfield to hook up your HU

so thats basically how im doing it. ill probably run all the wire under the carpet. ill take pics this weekend when im doing mine and ill post them on here if you would like.

Well first for a touch screen thats double din, you need a bracket for it. It'll still have the same setup with like the A/C controls and trac. on/off, fogs, and whatever else you have, but itll just replace the double DIN system you have already. As far as wiring speakers, the best would be to replace the speaker wire to like 14 gauge. Dont just cut and tape, and youll need a pretty strong 4 channel amp to power four Kicker components. As far as two subs, Type-S's arent too strong so you can wire it bridged and then wire it to a mono amp. You wont need more than gauge 8 power wires but get a gauge 4 for the ground.

Hey, I am new on this site. I registered in response to this thread specifically. Hopefully you respond to this reply. Here is my question. When running the wires from your 4 channel amp to the aftermarket front speakers in your door panel, how did you get the wire into the door frame? I need specifics onhow youfishedit through the grommet.I was told there is a "MOXLEY PLUG" that consists of hard plastic that needs to be drilled? Doyou agree?I am researching this topic! If you have any advice let me know. Please send your response to doublechester15@yahoo.com. Any questions you guys out there have let me know because I am fairly experienced myself. Kyle
