Default crossover = help

Ok so i got a new sub and built me a box and went to wire it up then realized i was in for a big time with the crossover. I got the mach460 sound system. It took me forever to find the right wires but I finally got a diagram and got them spliced in, ran my rca, and all Im getting is a very low volume mid tone from the sub. I tried plugging in the rca from another friends system and the speaker hit fine. For some reason the crossover wont pick up the bass. Its brand new and I know it works cause it was used in another system for a couple days before I got it. What gives?

List all the equipment you purchased and we might be able to help.

Ttocs can verify the correct wires.

ok so i ditched the crossover idea and decided to put in an old cd player i had laying around with a sub out. well after i hooked it up it absolutely did not work. the sub will work but none of the factory speakers will work. this was the same with 2 different cd players. i realized that the wiring kit was junk and took it back to walmart. apparently alot of people are having problems with schoche wiring kits. i guess the wires are all crossed up. so could someone just point me in the right direction on getting a wiring kit to hook up aftermarket cd player that actually works? its a 97 GT with the mach460 sound system. it had the radio/tape deck and the seperate cd player unit. i want to do away with all of that and have one cd player but i need to get a wiring kit that actually works.

Look in the sticky for a ttocs article on adding an aftermarket sub to the mach 460.

He has a great write up and it will more then likely answer all your questions.
