Shaker 500 and phone button
i was told that bluetooth is included in other models (like the f150) and it uses the same head unit. i THINK (could be wrong) on our cars, it just mutes the radio. kinda dumb to have it there, when you can just turn the power off...
it sounds like it is blue tooth but you have not programmed it yet which is why it says no phone, my mother just found out she has the same thing.
Go to the tools section of your phone and look in the communication area to turn blue tooth on as well as to find a new reciever with the key on in the car. It is something you probably have the equipment for if you have bought a phone in the last year.

With most bluetooth devices, you have to program them through your cell phone. The Phone button in your car is working as a blue tooth ear piece would for your ear, and your setting it up the same way. I'm not 100% familliar with the Phone pieces in the shaker 500 but when your car is turned off I think it resets and you have to re program it everytime you get in car.
you could not be any further from the truth....... That would completly negate the ease of use of bluetooth...

Thats why almost all blue tooth devices resetthere signal when you power them off? Again I don't want to start a heated argument I'll admit I'm wrong I was just offering a suggestion and taking a stab at the problem.
it just mutes the radio i believe. Mustangs don't have an optional bluetooth feature at all, only way to accomplish that is a aftermarket HU. I asked the guy at the dealership about it when i bought mine. I got so excited. I was like is that bluetooth, hes like no it just mutes the radio when you have a call.
I tried it today while on the phone and it did nothing. No mute and no bluetooth ! LAME ! [:@] I saw in some older models it says MUTE but mine just has phone icon on it.Why would it say NO PHONE when pushed then ? I tried searching it also on 2 phones neither found it. Oh well..
thanks anyways
