Need Help, No Wiring Harness....
if you have an amp that drives all of the speakers all you should need for the deck will be a power, ground, switched, maybe an illumination wire and the antenna and rca's. Do you have and know how to use a voltmeter or test light?
nah man i dont have a voltmeter or a test light ... i checked with some friends but none of them have 1 either, i actually looked at 1 yesterday at wal mart but didnt buy it, i wasnt sure if i'd need it.
and on the harness, all i need to have hooked up is red, yellow and black, i already have the remote wire ran, it is the bigger red wire thats in the pic. can i power off the fusebox? i know yellow is for memory so i def need that.

if you want to throw more crap in the sack then sure you can run more wires to the fuse box. Your dash already looks like a birds nest and this will not help. You will really be better off to clean up the crap he left you before you do any more to it..... You will need a voltmeter or test light to properly check your fuse box.
whoever did that to this car needs to be smacked a good one, that was unnecessary to cut the whole f'n harness to hell ... i will try to clean it up when i mess around with it. anybody know which fuse would be best to run the mempry wire to?
if you do not diagnose(with the meter or test light) and insulate the hot wires in the dash you will risk blowing fuses later. the fuses are linked to multiple circuits so when your dome light goes out, you know why.
mail me your manual and I will read it for you and tell you which fuse may work.....
Please do the right thing and spend the $5 on a test light.... They are not good in cars with airbags so you are safe.

well the manual is not in the car or i would have checked it out, the guy obviously didnt give a crap about this car, but i will buy a test light if i can not get the factory wires to work, i seen a site last night where it had the factory wire color codes ...
green/yellow is constant 12v
yellow/black is switched 12v
and black/green is ground
so i'm hoping this will do it, ill keep a post updated

man I have never trusted factory color codes for anything more then a reference as a hopefull starting point. Ford ran a couple of different stereos and I swear they would switch colors from time to time as they were rarely right.
Get the test light, every shade tree installer should have one. If it happens to say that it is airbag safe that is even better if you have to use it for other cars.

hey man i hooked it up how it said, it didnt work, so i checked the fuse box, blown fuse. so i swaped it out, and then it worked, i finished hooking everything up and testing out the sound, and now it does NOT keep the memory, should i switch and put the yellow/black as the red wire and green/yellow as yellow wire?
GO GET THE DAMN TEST LIGHT............................................. ..........
the red wire needs to be connected to a +12v switched source. Connect the test light and then touch it to the wire you suspect is the switched wire. With the key off it will not light up, with the key on it will light up.
The yellow wire goes to the wire that has +12v and lights up with the key on and off.
IT sounds as though you have the two switched.
