Default NEED HELP WITH BUYING A NEW SUB WOOFER??

Ok so heres the deal, when it comes to car audio im pretty stupid. I currently have this amp

and this subwoofer/enclourse

now whats the best subwoofer to buy to put in that box and use the amp i have

ive seen some on carelectronic plus for like 59.99 and i think that would do it

i see that the sub i have now has a peek of 300rms and then amp has a peek of 500rms...so should i buy one with 500 rms..can someone tell me exactly what sub to buy or what to loook for..i just want it to hit a little hard and sound a little better than what i got...the one i have sounds a little sloopy and not that clear..my friend has a type r and it sounds soo much better.

if it would be possible can u find one on car elctronic plus or ebay

thanks a lot

i will be the first to say that this is the cheapest best sub in the market today. That box well im unsure no details only its sealed. But SHOULD work with dd sub but like said vol is unknown.

P.S - dd can only be bought from factory or local dealer (u prob want have a local so order from factory) cheaper to get it from factory to.

you have too look fora subthat can have a 2ohm impedance and handle 500 watts RMS. it all depends on your voice coils. a 2ohm DVC can be wired at 1 or 4 ohms (dont wire it at 1) and a 4ohm DVC can be wired at 2ohms or 8 ohms. or you can get a single voice coil and they use (usually) either a 2 or 4 ohm voice coil. you can get 500 watts from that amp if you use either a 2 ohm single voice coil or a 4ohm DVC. but you have to wire the DVC right. Now just pick a sub brand/model that has a rating of 500RMS or a little higher.

for your application, dont use a 2 ohm DVC or 4Ohm svc. IF youre just gonna run one sub. if you plan on more, someone can tell you what you'll need.

quality will be different between manufacturers. giving you different sounds. ****ty subs sound ****ty. quality subs sound good. even if theyre the same wattage rating.

if i were you i'd get a 500 watt sub and get it wired at 2ohms and be gettin all you can outta that amp.

i think around 150 for the 12 not sure e-mail them. yes they only come in single 4ohm version which means sub will see 300rms so yes the rms power rating is the same as the sub you have but thats about it.

power of the amp has nothing to due with this a sub that is 500rms does not mean it can be as loud or better how ever you wanna put it as a 300watts rms sub. if a 300watts sub is more eff with the power its given than a 500rms sub is then the 300watt sub is actually better. in not so many tech terms.

get a 4 ohm, dual voice coil sub and you can wire the two coils in parallel to make the amp see a 2 ohm load. parallel is the easiest wiring schematic where you connect all the +'s on the speakers, and all the -'s to the sem output on the amp. This will allow the amp to max its output at 500 watts and the power will be split between the two coils.

its garbage does the site not even know what ohm the sub is with that big ? mark??? But it would wrk but to say its better then what you got i dont know it says 800rms which really means 500rms so amp should push it to its mech limits. i mean if you wanna go real cheap get something even cheaper cause ones like this are a dime a dozen find one for 30$ and prob get the same level of prof as this one. But imo your going the wrong way i understand wannting cheap we all do but why get something thats a few $$ cheaper and be back in the site next month saying i got this and i want more prof and then u spend more money again just an endless circle buy good once and be done. Its kinda like your car would u buy a powerdyne super when u can get a vortech for a few $$$ more and have real reliable parts that will prof for many years to come instead of blowing on u in 6 months.
