Default Need help choosing a good amp

I need an amp to power one 12" sub. Something around 500 watts constant. Not looking to spend much money which is awesome I know.. Basically the cheapest dependable amp I can get that fits the specs. Thanks.

lol I know I know but I've had the thing sitting around forever so I might as well make use of it. I want to at least abuse it till it pops before I spend a couple hundred on a new woofer. So is ED my best bet or should I try Us Amps or anything else?

US Amps is dead!!! But id get (Old US Amps) look for pre 03 over ED anyday i run a 2000x (green) and would never let it go. Not saying i want try other amps cause i have but will never sell the 2000x. DD has some nice amps out but are $$$ then of course we gots zapco and so on and so on. Try an find ya an old us or orionor mmats (mmats new amps are nice to but $$$). Hypnotic has very solid amps and are priced well make wanna take a look. Sundown has some nice ones to but your going for cheap so look for quality products that are used. You prob will be happier with a quality 3 yo amp over a new pos anyways.

heres this is DD's poor brother

not as good quality (compared to dd amps but will put shame to any mainstream name) but around the doors im hearing great things about them. Not sure on the price but the bigger bro 2200 is 389$ shipped to your door so id assume around 250$.

About the only other mid-range-ish amps I can think of...

http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=2615
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...Product_ID=475I had the 1200 watt version of this and enjoyed owning it.

(I would consider them in that order by the way)
