i got my 2003 v6 mustang used and it had the Mach MP3 system in it. is that system stock in all v6 mustangs? anywho, ive been lookin at the mach 1000 system and it looks pretty nice except for the price... would it be worth upgrading to the 1000 or possibly go with the mach 460 that comes with the GT's.

 

Just bought an 02 with the 1000. Kind of obnoxious! Needs Dynomat in the trunk. Sounds like an old hooptie!

 

i want to get the mach 1000 but i might jsut get individual parts and do it more custom. but what kind of amps does the 1000 have and how powerful are they. btw, is it expensive to get your amps and subs custom fitted in the trunk like you would see in magazines and at car shows. where its like encased in glass or whatever it is and has neon lights around it lol.

 

I have an 04 GT Conv with the mach 1000. Get yourself an entirely new system!!! It is not only cheaper unless you can find it on ebay but the sound you get will be much much better!! I agree with Dr. BOB needs much dynomat. The bass could be stronger and the highs higher. In my F250 I have an alpine 9811, Kenwood 5 ch. amp and 2 rockford subs and it sounds much better than the stang. You can get the stereo for around 200. The subs for around 150-200. I have Infinity Kappa 6.5 components all around (Ebay for 75 a pair). The amp was around 600. You could do 2 amps. A 4 ch for the components and 1 for the sub. If you look around there are some great deals for a much better sounding system. The minute my wife lets me, the 1000 is gone. So when you are looking I will sell mine when she lets me get a new one!!! : )
