speakers stopped working
I have a 2000 mustang convertable, v6...i have a pioneer HU that i put in awhile back. I have the mach 460 system
the other day i was driving and hit a pothole, heard a loud pop and since then, my speakers have stopped working. This happened once before but all i had to do was turn the car off then back on and they started working again...this time that little trick didnt work
the HU seems to be fine, i can still hear the subwoofer working but nothing comes through any of the speakers
any ideas?

I agree that it sounds like a fuse. No we do not know which one.... When you suspect a bad fuse, it takes less time to get on the floor of your car and pull each fuse out, check it and then re-insert them then it does to get out your manual, and try to find the page, figure out which circuit, ect. Circuits are often linked as well which means it is not uncommon for your radio to stop working but the rear defroster fuse blew. CHECK THEM ALL.
If all the fuses under the dash, as well as by the battery are good you will need to check power on the back of the radio.

I've checked a few fuses that the manual said were radio related. They were all fine. Theres nothing wrong with the power on the radio, it turns on fine, can hear CDs spinning, its just I don't get any sound from the speakers except for the subwoofer.
Your not listening to me, not sure why but did you check the windshield wiper fuse, or the rear defroster? Did you look at the fuses under the hood? Iam not kidding that a fuse that mayseem to have nothin to do with the radio could have blown so that youneed to check EVERYsingle fuse.
When that is done and they are ok, you will need topull the deck out to check the deck fuse that will be inline on the hrns on the yellow wire, or will be mounted to the back of the radio.
If you have now checked every fuse, your next step is to get a volt-meter or test light and check the red and yellow wires on the deck hrns to see if they have power with the key on and off.
