exactly.A DVC sub will give more wiring options but both coils MUST be wired.

Which is: 300 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (600 watts x 1 at 2 ohms)

Would this amp work with this sub?

If you plan to power a pair of them, wiring it at 4 ohm, you will be doing around 150 watts per subwoofer.

You could also get just one of them, but then you are talking 600 watts to one of them, with being a novice if you do this you need to exercise restraint with the gain ****.

Most importantly what kind of enclosure do you plan to this (these) subwoofer(s) in?
