In my opinion, that's pretty expensive for just the connector. Also, since its still the stock head unit, I'm pretty sure you won't have control from the head unit. I would rather spend a little more money and get a nice head unit that comes with the ipod connector and has head unit control. I use the Alpine iDA-x001 head unit and it controls the ipod so you can have it sitting in the glovebox or something. The controls are similar to the ipod itself but the only downside is that it doesn't have a cd player, but I don't really think you'll need one if you're using the ipod. Well, if you really want to keep the stock head unit, and you have that much money to use, go for it.

Honestly, I'm not too sure about that. I'd be willing to bet the quality would be better than one of the tape player or fm transmitter connections though. The only thing I would question would be the stock head unit, but I really do think it'll sound fine. I'm not going to make any promises or anything because I've never used a connector like that for a stock radio. From what I *think* it should be fine if you want to keep the stock head unit. Only problem is where you'd run the connector. You could run it into the glovebox, but then you would have to set it to what you want and leave it until you get a chance to mess with it again. You could run it around by the shifter or the cup holders, which would let you mess with it more often, but its not hidden... Well, either way, its up to you and I think the quality should be fine. Key word - Should. Lol. Another thing to think about for quality is the songs. If they are the "surprisingly cheap" songs, the quality might not be too great. If they are cd quality, much better. You could go buy it or look around for a little bit, but if it were me and I really wanted to keep the stock head unit, I'd buy it even if other people didn't like it, but thats just me.
