Default Mach Sound System question:

So I came upon two 12" Kicker subs and boxes with a Kicker 400W amp for VERY cheap from a friend who wrecked his car (subs un-damaged), and before I buy them I'd like to know if it was possible to keep the stock Mach Sound System head unit (has 6 disc changer) and just add the sub(s?).
Thanks in advance.

yes, but you will need an amp to drive them. If you do a google search for mach 460 sub install and there are a couple of sites that have directions to it.

in my 68 i have the aftermarket remake the knw 801 as the head so it look stock. and i have 2 6x9 4way sony xplods in the back window and a box with 2 ma audio 10" and 600w amp (as of tomarow kicker solo L5 12" and 2000w amp).

You can if it has the wireing for enough speakers mine there is a front left right and a back left right and the back left right goes to my subs. then you have to run the amp to the battery. DONT PUT THE CHANGER NEAR THE SUBS!!!! i had my changer on my box and a month later the changer broke it should be no problem to put in

the forum blocked the website i typed for some reason. that why i posted again right after i saw that with the website being *** out. so that why i posted the website with space in between the words in the next post. (is that what the HUH is for)

I figured it be easlier to give a website that has the install intructions then searching all thought google. ( or is this what the HUH is for).

Im just wondering bc "huh" is kinda pointless, just to waste the time to post one word. I mean you dont need help with installing an amp on your factory mach system bc then you woulded have giving advive on where to find instructions on it. This was to help beans420 or anyoneelse that might have had this question. Im not trying to come off as a dick im just trying to understand that post.

great man, thanks for explaining now I understand. I am not trying to be a dick either but I am lazy, but not that lazy. I could have done a google search, found the site, copied the link and then wiped for him as well but I guess I am too much of a dick to do this since he could do the exact same thing to get the same results. People often come on here asking which fuse they may have blown, should I go out to my car, get my manual and try to read it for them?

I am all about helping people as I am sure the others can tell you but you have to try and help yourself a little, we don't wipe for you on here so if you don't do it yourself you will rub yourself raw....

OH, welcome to the forum!
