What to do with 2nd DIN?
Background: 99 Mustang with Mach system. Has the tape deck with the CD player on the bottom for the 2nd unit. When I eventually upgrade the head unit, I'd like to do something with the old space occupied where the CD player was, other then a delete kit.
Ideas? Maybe a digital EQ? Curious what some others have done.
Thanks!

I put a voltage and power monitoring system in mine. It has a digital voltage gauge,a power meter for the system, as well as 2-color LEDs(blue/red) to monitor amps status and a final LED(blue) for the alarm. I cut the face off of the old cassete deck to put in front of the display in case I am somewhere I don't want it to be seen. I placed the alarm LED so that it would flash onto the back of the cassete door and had my brother make me a custom decal to replace the factory decal so that when the alarm led flashes, it lights up my custom message my bro made for me(F$#! OFF). It is in my cardomain page if you want to see it although the power meter is hard to see. The easy thing to do is to get a universal din pocket that will just slide right in and lock in place. There are places that make cut-outs for gauges and switches.
you could run a Trunking radio scanner if ya dig listenin to Police/Fire/EMS Services
or get a guage pod for that DIN
or just run the pocket
an EQ is do-able but PReal and Seight have convinced me they aren't that important.

An EQ is something I have always liked and been thinking about adding to my system. Don't let people that are typing tell you what sounds good or bad. If they are in the room with ya maybe but..........
now if I get one it will be a 360.2 so will not have to worry about space.
