Does Rear Speaker Deck come out?
Ok ive tryed building 2 boxes now lol and failed both times, i cant get it to sound right and be small enough to slide through the trunk for my kickers. I did some measuring and the original kicker box will fit in the trunk but cant get it through the trunk in the rear. so i was wondering if i can take the rear deck out were the back speakers are and then slide the box in and then bolt in back down. Cause i dont have time to keep building boxes. If it comes out how hard is it and what do i need.
taking the rear speakers out will not buy you any more space. You can remove the rubber lining around the trunk, and the trunk latch for a couple of extra inches but otherwise there is nothing you can do.
I built a box for a single 12 for a buddy that barely fit. If he wanted a pair of speakers I would have built another box exactly the same as the first and then screwed them together once in the car to make a single box. You are going to have problems fitting 12s through that opening one at a time, I have never seen a single box for 2 12s that would fit through the opening.

i tryed taking the latch and the lining out and still woulnd not fit. cause the way the back of the box is angled. But the box is tall enough and wide enough to fit in the trunk so i was thinking taking the rear deck out put teh box in then but the rear deck back in. I know it sounds like alot of work but im not quit the building person. lol And i dont have $100 + dollars to spend on a custom box.
I am trying to figure out what you mean by removing the rear deck? You can pull the back seat out, but everything you see covered by plastic in the back is mounted to a perminant piece of metal.... You do not gain anything trying to go through the back seat opening.
The opening in our car will always dictate the size of the box. If I were you I would try and find a table saw. You might be able to cut the box in half(one half per sub), add some wood so that the encolsures are sealed and then see if you can load them one at a time and then screw them together.

yea i looked today and saw its all one peice. In my dodge Neon where the rear speakers are, (the rear deck i guess is what i can think to call it) it came out. I might have a friend buying my 2 subs for $300 with the amp. So if he does then imma buy new ones that are smaller. cause i cant cut a nice new box like that lol. Idk. I may see what the price is for a custom one.
