Default New speaker and amp recommendations?

Since I put the AVIC-D3 in I would now like to replace my speakers and install a decent amp.
I would like to try and get components in a bracket so they fit in the stock 5x7/6x8 mounts for the both the doors and the rear deck.
I don’t think I really need to change the subs but I would entertain the idea if it will really make a difference but I want to keep the stock door enclosures and grills.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a new setup?

EDIT: I guess it would be helpful ifI told you guys what kind of musicI like.
I listen to classic rock, heavy metal, blues, jazz, and country.
I pretty much like everthing except for rap.

I don't want to keep the stock door speakers or subs,I want to keep the stock grills for the subs.
The reason is I don't think the stock sub grillslook completely horrible butI don't like the looks of most grills on the market, I just want better sound with the stock look inside.
Price range$600 - $1000 for speakers, subs, and an amp.
Keep in mind that the subs would be the last choice to change and for now I don't need an amp for the subs.

I bought a set of Hertz audio ESK 570 for my front speakers, and bought a JL Audio amp G2250, speakers will crank and are crystal clear. I listen to a little music of all sorts, Rock, Rap, Country.

The difference between a $600 and $1000 system is going to be pretty drastic. You can get a pretty nice setup for $600 though. What is the most you really want to spend? What type of music do you listen to? Will you build a box yourself? Can you build adapters for the speakers?

(usually when someone gives a budget with a range they really want to spend the minimum)

Well of course I want to spend the minimum, howeverI not opposed to spending the max if it gets me what I want.
I am more interested in changing the front and rear speakers and adding an amp for them.
I am not putting subs in the trunk, I will only put subs in the door location and only if they stay looking stock, subs are optional.
Let us say I want to spend $700 for F/R speakers and an amp andI will do the install myself.
Or I will spend $850 with the above plus new subs for the doors.

I listen to classic rock, heavy metal, blues, jazz, and country.
I pretty much like everthing except for rap.

NEVER buy speakers unless you have listened to them first. (And liked them.)
