I would like to get some neon lights to light up the floor of my car. There are a few problems
1. My interior is black. Would the neon lights show up good on the floor of the car?
2. LEDs or NEONs?
3. Where can I get some nice bright ones that will show up on the floor of my car (is ebay any good)?

I had some cheap red ones off ebay(like $10) for my old 1990 mustang several years ago. I tucked them under the dash in front of the driver and passenger and they looked pretty good. But my bro used them and broke them so Im actually looking to get some new ones too. Im curious about LEDs though.

Lol. Did you have black interior? Did they reflect nicely? I think I might go with the 10 buck neon lights off ebay. I was checking those out.

No my interior was red. They were hidden completely under the dash by your knees(where you couldnt see them at all) and they reflected enough to light up the interior. They were good enough that they came in handy for just an interior light because my map light shorted out and didn't work.

 

i got the 20 dollar ones off ebay in blue, any they look awesome at night on black interior, and the chicks dig it more than anything.

 

If you must do this mod which I agree is ricer, but I would recommend getting cold cathode lights as they are much brighter. You can find these all over e-gay.

I just want something to light up my floor. My car is soo plain, it needs something to make it look better at night.

 

I'm looking to do the same thing. Ford has the ones that hook up to "my color" for under the dash and at the cup holders. Big $$$$ though. My dealer says they won't put em in either. I would have to find someone else or do it myself.
