I use CDs with MP3 files recorded on CD Lightscribe discs. Recently when I changed the disc one of them was damaged, probably by the rollers that handle them and the small pieces of the silver layer remained inside the player. I got “bad disc” message on the display and all the discs were ejected one after another. I’ve tried to clean the laser with the special disc from Radio Shack but I got “bad disc” message as well. It is Mustang GT 2007 still under warranty but I am not sure if this kind of “negligence” is covered. One of the options would be to remove the player and try to clean it but I am not sure how difficult it is to do it. I could go to one the shops that specialize in radios, etc but I am afraid if they will not take advantage of me as well. What do you think?
