Default New (used) car ooops!

Well aobout a month ago I bought this 03 GT...thought I got a good deal at the time.

I added the rims/tires and some other stuff...but thats not what I wana talk about. Salesman said it had the Mach 1000 system and I was ok with that. It wasn't the selling point of the car anyway. Well pictures say a 1000 words....pic of the trunk:

Notice anything missing? I didn't even know till a few days ago that something goes in there.

he didn't lie, he said it HAD the mach system not HAS the mach system.

So what do you want to do now? Does anything play?

It actually sounds pretty good without the subs. Just sounds like a high end stock system...but I want the subs if it should have them. Bidding on some from ebay...hopfully it won't cost me and arm and leg.

let him know your friends will not be getting shopping at his store unless some compensation is coming your way be nice dont beg just let him know your not happy
maybe a discount on future parts or labour would be nice

I would not go through the trouble of putting the 1000 back in, you can get better for less that will last longer.

Bought it at a used car lot I found on the internet...makes good argument for only buying from known good dealers.

Suggestions? I know engines and suspension better than sound.....Just want to make it stock again. I am not looking for a huge "bump in the back" but would like slightly more "bump".

forget the mach 460 or mach 1000, Go aftermarket. Or use a lineoutput converter and splice in a component subwoofer, you will be much happier with that.

if you just want a little more bass you could easily add an amplified sub that will save you trunk space and wieght while sounding better and probably costing less and lasting longer........
