Default Will 1000 watt amp be safe on Kicker Comps?

Ok i have a Sony Xplod 1000 watt amp ( all i have and no money to work with right now ) and a set of 2 12" Kicker comps in a 2 ohm box. I was wondering if i can use the 1000 watt amp only on the left side so its not using the full 1000 watts and not hurt the subs.

Its a 600 watt 2 ohm box and the speakers are 150 watt rms each.

so the box makes them 2 ohm? Just kidding.

If you amp is putting out 600 watts(max power), that means each speaker is taking 300 watts each(when the amp is maxed out). The RMS rating is 150 and the max power rating is normally double the rms rating so that would be 300. So this means your subs are almost perfectly matched as the max power output of the amp meets the max pwr rating of the sub.
