Hey Red,

Instead of thinking about what component speakers would work best you may want to consider replacing the stock headunit. Most people think of speakers and amps but the truth is it all starts with the brains (HU) I can guarantee you that if you upgrade to a quality aftermarket HU your system will sound better than it does now and you will get that little more bass and cleaner sound ur looking for. You will also have the ability to utilize more settings for eq's than u do with the stock unit and can adjust it to your liking.

you will need to replace the deck, or else run a new amp to those infinity's. They are a 4 ohm speakeer where the woofer you are replacing is an 8 ohm. IF you don't the factory amps will shut off and sound bad......

ok well i wanted to replace the stock head unit, but my friend replaced his with an alpine and when he did it took all bass out of his speakers and they sounded old speakers... maybe he didnt get it hooked up right... what head unit would you recommend for 200-300 dollar range? and also my front speakers are starting to rattle a little bit also?

he probably did not integrate into the mach system properly, it sounds like he missed a single wire to be honest.......

I love alpine decks myself.

i actually just got done hooking up my new stereo and im looking to replace the interior speakers next and get a rockfor fosgate 4 channel to juice them. replacing the stock head unit can be a real pain because of the whole mach thing and the factory amps, its a good chance that if your friends stereo sounds like real **** maybe they didnt get the harness to hok up the stock amp into the new head unit that would do it.
