Alpine, infinity stereo issues (Driving me nuts)
you could hook 15 decks up to the same power source and not run into a problem until you had 2 of them "sharing" an amp. What you have done is put the amps input in a parallel wiring sequence with the other decks output amp. This is probably what is causing your fuse problems since it will do funny things to both the amp and the deck.
I think autozone is having a sale on a nice dry chemical fire ext that works great on electronics fires, you should really check them out..........

I went to that sale and bought 2. Cost me $5. LOL Seriously though, I did disconnect the the wires from the second player, and I am looking at a switch board thing for them that would allow me to switch between the different rca cables.
it was a bit of humor that I am hoping will get the point across as the subject is serious and not a joke.
Your avitar is great for this thread...........
I have made a similar switchboard in the past for a customer using relays. It would not be too hard and only really need 2 relays.

okay, I'll look into the relay thing, I dont think it will be to hard to make a switchboard.
just a bit frustrating for me as I have 3 other cars lined up behind the stang to get taken apart and bagged, tagged, and plastic container. (restoration cars)

2 relays both wired the same
Pins 85 go to +12v switched
pins 86 go to the switch you want to control them, the other side of the switch goes to ground.
pins 87 go to one of the decks rca outputs + wire
pins 87A go to the other decks rca outputs + wire
pins 30 go to the output to the amp
the rca's negative wires will be common left, common right.
With this setup when you flip your switch it will cut the signal from one of the decks rca + wire and then will connect the others. By disconnecting the signal with the relay it is the same as disconnecting one of the rca's and will do no damage to your deck or amp. You are looking at probably $30 in parts for relays and rca's that you will need to cut up.

got it set-up and installed, works good, thanx. I have a whine in the stereo which has been pre-existant since I only had one HU in it. It goes with the rpm range. I have regrounded everything on the stereo. what could it be, I have msd ignition.
