my brother has an 01 navigator.. he said the bass was getting really distorted, now no bass at all is coming out of the subwoofer... would this be a fuse? bad connection? i would think even if the sub was totally dead it would still make some noise... how to troubleshoot this problem?

 

If it was getting really distorted 90% chance he blew the sub.

 

yep sounds like its done, is it the stock sub or aftermarket?

 

could be anything.

yup time for a system overhaul....they dont last forever

 

subs dont make noise when they go boom

 

8 years on a stock sub, its all she could handle lol, time to get some new subs and amps
