Question Mach 460 "tweeters" speakers replacement

Here is the deal my "tweeters" for my mach 460 are dying (front and back) I have a 2000 vert.
I know they really are 2.5" speakers not tweeters.
I want to replace them however I haven’t been able to find 2.5" speakers anywhere.
I have found used replacements for the "mirror speakers" on eBay, however I don’t want the same crappy speaker again, cuz that will defeat the purpose.

I have replaced the rest of speakers with some infinity's (kappa). I know I should've changed them with components, but is too late now.

So does anyone knows or has found 2.5 speakers around? The smaller I could find is 3". Does anyone had any luck or tried to put a 3"speaker in place of the 2.5"?

I have been looking for answers this whole last week. I really appreciate if anyone can help.

Thanks guys

Oh I forgot, I have replace stock head unit so I bypassed the amplifiers and all that fun stuff we have with the mach system.

This is what I installed in the front.

A little bit of trimming and epoxy.
I'd get you a pic but, I'm away on travel for the month.
Sounds great!

it is a very strange size and you will have problems finding anything in an automotive use in that size. You might be able to find something at partsexpress that would work but you will need to be carefull of the depth. There are aftermarket 1" tweeters that you could put in but if you are looking for a 2.5 specifically then you will be lookin for a while.

1" will fit better then a 3.5" will.......... make sure they are 4 ohm and you will be fine with them.
