Sound System

Start with a nice double din with or without navi as your source unit I recommend a kenwood. Then do some nice coaxials front and back, or components up front if you want to cut a hole for the tweeter. Depending on how loud you want to get either get a 5 channel, or a 4 channel and a mono amp and then its up to you. 1 12, 2 12s, 2 10s etc
a nice system can be had for 3g easily

If I had that setup I would just buy 4 really nice coaxial speakers to keep it simple, no need to throw in 2 component sets. And remove the stock 8s for a set of higher-end 8s. Those subs are probably pretty small (depth wise) since they are in the doors, but they make "slim subs".
Decent 4channel amp for the speakers (screw the factory amp), and a decent 2channel for the subs.
That'd put you well under 3k, and if you'd want more bass you can just throw in a 12 in the trunk...

No its easy.....on a scale to 1 to 10 its about 4, if you never have done it. We can talk you through everything....I would say the harding this is getting the power wire through the firewall, and even that isnt hard.
