Help speaker install
I am installing my new components, and I put the ignition into the accessory position and the speaker sounds fine. But when I start the car I get this high whining sound, which gets louder when I rev the car. The sound seems to be coming from the tweeter. The cross over is in the door, so the line only runs a few feet. Anyone have any ideas on what is going on??
Im at a lost.
Im at a lost.
The Profile 4 channel that I have. Channels 3 and 4 are powering the sub and are bridges, one and two to do the fronts, I only have the one front installed right now, but basically I pulled the RCA's and the sound went away but obviously there is no sound going to the component set any more. The sub works and sounds fine and again there is no whine when the car is just in accessory
Ill check the ground tonight.
The RCA's are on the same side as the power, which I know is a no no, but they were already there when I bought the car. The Subwoofer RCA's are there too

It could also be a bad ground wire for the radio.
I jump started my car after a dead battery incident and it fried the ground wire to the radio. (It's common in the Pioneer units, I've been told, but I have no idea what you've got going on.)
It was annoying, but I put up with it until I installed HID's. Once I installed the HID's, the noise got so loud when I turned them on I HAD to track it down.

^Yeah I have seen may pioneers with that same problem.......But the rcas on the same side and it being a 4 ch. with the rcas on the same side as the power is more then likely giving him the whine. Dont get me wrong make sure you have a good ground, not loose and to bare metal.

And reemphasize the rerun RCAS...
