Question bass blockers

Anybody know about using non polarized capacitors as bass blockers for an aftermarket headunit with an amp and subs in an 2001 ford mustang with the mach 460 system. Ive heard you can buy these at radio shack for about a 2 bucks a piece instead of paying 20 bucks at bestbuy. If so what size?

it depends on what size the speakers are, what kind of music you might listen to and what freq you want them crossed over at.
