Default Is this needed?

I was just about to buy my new radio for my 08 mustang, and i went to crunchfield to make sure the reviews were pretty good. I also checked if it would fit, and it said im going to need to buy PAC Ford Radio Replacement Interface. Is that mandatory? for all aftermarket radios?

maybe definitly could-be but not for sure to tell the truth.

Yes this is something that you need. Unfortunatly it is fords attempt to make it hard to install a radio in their car. It doesn't really make it much harder, just more expensive......

i never heard of this. i didnt use this and i put in a f900bt. its for "you'll still be able to use factory features like Rear Seat Entertainment, Rear Seat Controls, and the THXII amplifier". my mustang does not have any of that.
