Hi guys,

My wife has a shaker 1000 in her 06 vert, and needless to say the factory junk needs update.

I would like to put a quality dvd deck in there with some technology (usb, ipod interface, bluetooth, maybe nav).

I am wondering if I can make it work with the factory speakers/subs in the trunk, or, will I have to rip everything out and go aftermarket?

the shaker systems are not hard to integrate into. You can probably do it yourself but if you are wanting to have it installed do NOT let a shop tell you that EVERYTHING needs to be ripped out. If they do then just walk on out as they are either just too lazy to figure some simple stuff out or are trying to take you for more money.

 

There should be no reason for you to have to buy all new equipment just for a new head unit. The only other parts that they will probably try and sell to you is a wiring harness but you need that unless you don't ever want to lock you car again
