Default Upgrading System

Well, I'm going to need some help from you guys. I'm currently looking to upgrade my sound system in my mustang. I currently have a Shaker 500 in it, it sounds good, but not as good as I want. I'm currently looking to add 2 12" subs in the trunk, as well as replacing my factory head unit. I just need some help choosing the subs, head unit, and the amplifier to go with.

I'd like to have the sub woofers be very powerful, and I'd rather not loose much trunk space. I'm currently planning on installing one on each side of the trunk. I just need to know a good model; that can withstand being cranked up, and have a good life time.

The head unit, doesn't have to be real fancy, however I'd like it to look good, have good features.

I'd of course need a amplifier that can power both of the sub woofers.

I really don't have an issue on the cost. I'd like to keep the whole package up top, to cost around... 1600 or so. Thanks, and I can't wait to hear back from you guys!

I don't own any of their car audio stuff (yet) but I've taken a tour of their facility and I've heard their audio products. I do own one of their home theater subs. I gave $375 for it and it blows away most $700-$800 subs on the market. This is a top-notch company.
