Would this be a good Sub/Amp Combo?
I'm have been looking around lately for a good sub/amp combo and I have been looking at this amp http://www.jlaudio.com/amps/5001.html to power 2 of these http://www.jlaudio.com/press/W1v205.html (The 2nd one down, 12W1v2). I don't want anything to loud but I do want it to bump. Would this be a good sub/amp combo or should I look into something else?
Thanks.
Thanks.

If what you want is 2 12's then I would go with a little bit bigger amp.

but in reality--i would choose say 1 W6 or even a W3 over the 2 w1's. in a properly built box 1 of the subs i mentioned will get just as loud. if you get the 500/1 amp--1 W6 would sound awesome.
i will swear up and down on jl. everything they put out is quality and for a wide range of buyers. the 500/1 is a great sub. and i agree wilth the one w6. but if the w6 is out of the price range, you could get a eclipse aluminum, which is an almost identical sub. i think the only difference is the price. i believe the eclipse is a slight bit cheaper.
The 500/1 is an amp Fresh... But I'm sure that was a typo.
What type of music do you listen to most? How much trunk space are you willing to give up? How much money do you have to spend? Are you willing to pay a little extra to get it professionally installed?

purdy sure the 500/1 would power the W6 perfect because that is one of the most popular combinations ive heard of. People say its just perfect. If you dont want the W6 id say go with the W3v2s, or even an 8 or 10 inch W6. Smaller would probably be better for you because it would be tighter and 'bump' more as you say it. Go to a local audio store and most places have a little demo area, demo out your amp with different sub combos and see what you like
